renewing IP address

I have a laptop and have been on a wireless router for some time, all of a
sudden , it wouldn't let me pick up a connection. It said it was connected
but wouldn't let me into the net or Msn, etc. Now when I try to connect it
gets stuck on "AQUIRING NETWORK ADDRESS" and doesn't do a thing. It's
searching for an IP address, it has 0.0.0.0. on the left column and won't
connect. I need HELP!!!!! I'm using it with my cable modem no problem.
Please help, going crazy trying to fix this,

This would be better posted in the wireless networking forum. Try using Fn
key +F2 to toggle the wireless On/Off to see if that works. A complete reset
is to turn off everything by unplugging the power from both the router and
cable modem and turning off the computer. Then plug in the cable modem first,
wait 2 minutes, plug in the router wait again until blinking happily, and
then turn on the computer.

Thanks Mary, but I tried it twice and still no go. I have moved it to the
other forum so we'll see if I can get anymore suggestions there
