Renewing IP address failed

I lost my internet connection suddenly. I tried to repair
my connection. It asked me to renew my IP address. I used
IP config /release and IP config /renew, but they didn't
work. Can any one help me.

Since you didn't tell us how your connect to the Internet (dial-up,
cable, dsl, satellite) or the name of your ISP, the answer is sadly
"no". Repost with a better description of your setup, what changed
between the time things worked and the time things didn't, and what
you've already done to troubleshoot. If you have a cable or dsl modem,
try power-cycling the modem by turning off your computer, turning off
the modem, waiting a minute, then turn on the modem and turn on your
computer.

if the ip is allocated by dhcp is sounds like the dhcp server cannot be
located for whatever reason. guess it could be a number of things depending
on how nw is setup......check the basics, cables, device manager for errors,
could try allocating an ip also (again depending on how nw is configured).
