Renaming

I made a quiz in December 2007. Due to problems I have not used Powerpoint
since then. I had forgotten quite a lot. Started to use ppt again and
accessed my quiz. It is now working fine but it has an error that I can cope
with but it is annoying me. Here it is.
Custom Animations/reorder position of animation/. I have done all this Ok.
I used the Selection pane to do the re-order but for the life of me I cannot
rename the animations! I could do all this before but now I cannot remember
how! Can someone help me to perfect my quiz?

You have to do the naming on the selection pane. It's on the Home tab. Click
the dropdown on the Select button on the far right. These names will show up
in the Custom Animation pane.

Oh, wait. Duh, you just said that! Just click inside the name of the
object in the selection pane and type the new name. Click to select it, then
click again to select the text and type inside. Press Enter to "apply."

Thank you for that Echo. I was clicking in the wrong pane.
The Jing is super. Just what I needed. Half an hour on and my quiz
animations are correctly titled Phew... Easy when you know how isn't it?
