Hi -I am receiving photos from family members and adding them into my files
in My Pictures. When I try to rename a photo to show family history notes
and replacing the photo owners file name that sent it to me, I get a warning
message that the picture may become unusable if I change the file name. Is
there a way to get around this? The option is there to "Rename"...what the
heck?
Say the picture I received reads "Photo2.jpeg" - can't I rename it to
"Grandma and her Lincoln, 1964"? Am afraid to ignore the warning and lose my
photo. Can't find this topic in any of my books for help.
Also, I have hundreds of photos in albums in My Pictures. They have all
been backed up to CD's and some are on online photo site (mostly Ofoto). I
am worried about what the limitations are for large amounts of photos on pc.
I hate to think about removing them, as I like to be able to easily share
them at times. Am I wrong here? I like them from My PIctures rather than
OFoto, because I can send them full size this way and people can actually see
the photo details. Also, I have all these photos bouncing around on my
desktop as when my 88 yr. young father comes over, he likes to watch the
display show. Am I asking for too much from the pc? Thanks for any help
with these questions : )
