Rename account (non-ad) from the command line

Does anyone know of a command-line method of renaming user accounts.
Mostly it would be used for the administrator and guest accounts, both on
the local and remote machines
Thanks.

Hi,

If target environment is domain, you can use adsset /rename or dsmove.exe
to rename a user name.

If for workgroup environment, based on my research, some third-party tools,
such as RenameUser, Renuser etc can help us achieve this demand. More
information, you can refer to:

Renuser:

nts/Renuser.exe-renameuseraccountsfromcommand-line.html

RenameUser
