Removing Windows XP Home Edition

In my PC I have dual-boot installation of W 2000 Professional and W XP Home.
Now I wanted to remove XP to move it to another PC. When trying to remove XP
I first used Control Panel and Add/Remove Programs, but I only could remove
Service Pack 2. After removing it Add/Remove Programs only gave an opprtunity
to remove several upgrades but not XP itself. I then found in Knowledge Base
an article about removing XP using command line (osuninst.exe). I did as
specified but got an error message. Now XP starts but gives an error message
about Explorer.exe and then leaves the screen only with the background image.
With Ctrl-Alt-Del Task Manager opens, so I can close the PC.

What to do next? I am not very eager to format the disk as I have W 2000
still working in the PC.

Install xp cd,boot to xp cd,recovery, press enter for password, type:DiskPart
In DiskPart delete the partition with xp C: Then create one, press ESC key,
now you can:FORMAT C: /FS:ntfs Or type:EXIT Leave empty,format later..

Thanks, Andrew,

but an additional problem that I forgot to mention is that I have installed
both OS's on the same partition. I only have disk C: (in addition to CD's and
floppy). This probably makes the problem somewhat more difficult. I already
decided to simply delete all files on the folder where XP lies, but have not
had the courage to do it yet. Another problem that came when I installed XP
is that now in 2000 Add/Remove Programs tells that I have no applications at
all. Obviously installing XP has removed something that knows the
applications. I have tried to re-install 2000 but the CD is a version with
SP2 and as I have upgraded to SP4 the OS does not allow the re-installation
to be done.

Do not ever take advice from Andrew E. He delights in causing a user to lose
all their data.
See this link.
I have two installations of Windows/Windows XP on the same partition.......
