My computer has installed 2 windows system (dual boot):
Win98 on C drive and Win XP on drive F. I am going to
remove windows 98 partition using the following approach :

(quoted from Terry)
<----
In XP, open the root drive (win98 might be C:, then xp
would be D:?).
Locate boot.ini. If you don't see it, open Explorer and
click Tools,
Folder options, View, Hidden files & folders, Show hidden
files and folders.
-->

However I can't locate boot.ini!(I use start->search to
find it from all the drives). Can any one help me ?

If you have selected Show hidden files and folders, just click Local Disk
(C:) and you will find it in the right panel.

Also, when using the search option, select More Advanced Options and check
the box for Search Hidden Files and Folders.
