HI, I had originally installed Windows XP Home edition on
my computer. Then I purchased a copy of Windows XP Pro.
When installing Pro I'm pretty sure I just chose to
upgrade instead of doing a full install, but now whenever
my computer starts up, before starting Windows it gives
me the option to run either Home or Pro. I thought that
when I upgraded to Pro it would just automatically boot
into that. If anyone can tell me if there is a way to get
rid of the Home edition choice when booting up I would
really appreciate it.

Hi,

Go to Start/Run and type in: msconfig
Then go to the Boot.ini Tab and click on Check All Boot Paths. If you
receive a warning about a duplicate path: Do you want to remove, choose
yes.

Or...

Right click the My Computer icon/Properties/Advanced/Startup and
Recovery/Settings/System Startup/Edit.
