Various programs I have installed, such as a virus scanner, image
viewer, encryption program and others have installed their own file
options in Explorer. Even when I remove the programs, these references
remain.

When I go to the File menu or right-click an item in a folder, all of
these unwanted options appear.

How do I get rid of them?

Rich, many thanks for Context Edit. I was able to get rid of those
"context menu" items from the Explorer menu. That's a huge
improvement.

The problem is not totally solved, however. Right click on a folder
and a lot of those context items remain. Context Edit did not get rid
of those, unfortunately.

This is one of those good old PCMag utilities. PCMag has a utilities
support bulletin board, but have you seen that thing? Forget about it!

C:/WINDOWS/System32/MSA64CHK.dll the specified module cannot be found
This mssg appears everytime i turn my computer. Can anybody help wit

You need to run more than one spyware removal tool. Here are general
steps:

Remove spyware with Spybot Search & Destroy from
www.safer-networking.org and Ad-aware from www.lavasoftusa.com. Be sure
to update these programs before running them. These programs are free,
so run them both since they complement each other. It is best to run
antivirus and spyware removal tools in Safe Mode. You may also want to
run CWShredder and HijackThis from http://aumha.org/freeware.htm.
Although CWShredder is no longer being updated, it will still clean
older variants of the CoolWebSearch malware. Please read the
instructions carefully. Also, make sure you've visited Windows Update
and applied all security patches. Do not install driver updates from
Windows Update. Make sure you are running a firewall and have a current
antivirus installed using updated definitions.
