Just upgraded my office from 2003 to 2007. Was afraid of the dramatic
change in the user interface, but it's not as bad as I feared. But
there is one interface change I just can't stand. In the big scheme of
things this is probably pretty trivial, but it bugs me to no end.

There is now an icon in the taskbar area (next to the clock).

How do I get rid of this?
I don't mean "hide it" (I already know how to do that) - I mean GET RID
of the icon completely.

My OS is Vista Enterprise, 64 bit - if that matters.

It was there for Outlook 2003 as well.

I don't believe you can get rid of it, only hide it.
