Removing sidebar gadgets from running

Not sure how it happened, but when I run the sidebar, I have hundreds of
copies of the gadgets running, which slows my computer down to a crawl. I
can remove them one at a time when the sidebar is running, but this is taking
forever. Is there a registry setting or some setting which I can manually
edit to keep all these gadgets from running? I have the sidebar currently
disabled.

Hi steve,

As far as I can see you can goto the bottom right of screen...

Select Windows sidebar icon,,,,this will give you the option to turn the
sidebar off
on startup.

Another way round this maybe is to check your graphics card provider for
updates on drivers. This may sort the issue out. I had a similar issue when
first loading up windows vista. Recent nvidia drivers seem to have sorted it
out.

JIM
