Gadget sidebar doesn't always appear

When I minimize all programs, the gadget sidebar disappears from the Desktop.
Shouldn't the gadget sidebar appear at all times whenever you view the
Desktop?

I tried winkey+m and that minimized all windows and kept the sidebar.
Winkey+d also minimized all windows but the sidebar disappeared. It doesn't
explain much, but at least I'll use winkey+m from now on. Must be a glitch in
Vista. Thanks, Rick. If anyone else is experiencing this, I would appreciate
any feedback.

Hi,

It's not a glitch, it's by design. The Winkey+d is supposed to clear any
running applications from the desktop, whereas Winkey+m just minimizes any
open windows. A few months back this was verified by some MS personnel.

I see. Then I'm assuming the "Show desktop" icon in the taskbar has the same
functionality as Winkey+d. If so, that explains it and this one is solved.
Thanks, Rick!!
