to keep history to Zero (0).
Click on Advanced tab then scroll down to this under security option:
[ ] Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed.
Close your IE properties then Double click " My Computer " icon and right
click your C:\ partition and select properties from the drop down list.
On the C:\ Properties click on Disk Clean Up Button under general Tab, then
select the temp and whatever you feel to clear from your system, does this

Hi nass
followed your instruction however there were no URL's in the right pane.
Using the first Hkey item (internet explorer) the wording ab Default type:-
REG_Sz Data:-Value not set. Using the second HKEY (Internet settings) it
showed "Days to Keep" REG_DWORD 0x and 8 zeros (0). The info at the bottom of
the page showed that I had put the info as shown. On the second HKEY
(internet Settings) the URL History was shown under Protocols. Clicking on
protocols and then URL History made no difference. The first steps that you
provided i.e Ctl pnl Network & internet connections did not work either. The
"Use inline Autocomplete" was already unchecked. I did uncheck "web addresses
and forms" boxes. The info provided was very detailed and I thank you for
taking the time to provide the detail. It was very easy for me to follow and
I thank you. I appears that I am stuck with this address business so will
have to put up with it.
Thank you again.

I use MSN rather than internet explorer. When I enter an address i.e. google
in the address bar and then click on the green "search web" I can go to the
site without problem. The problem I have is that when you enter an address in
the address bar a scroll down list comes up under the address bar listing all
the sites that I have been to so that you can select one of the listings if
you are going to use it again. I have tried to delete this listing without
success. I have gone to view history and clicked on view and selected all
items listed but still cannot remove the address listing under the address
bar. Any help would be appreciated. I contacted MSN and they had me try
several things including the history thing and they could not solve the
problem either. I have about 30 sites in this list and want to delete them
all.
