removing registry key

I'm having a problem removing two registry keys.
I'm using XP(pro sp2). I'm logged in as admin and I always get 'acces denied
(5)' whenever I try to open the key in regedit.

When I try to change the ermissions/ownweship for the key the result is
always unable to change permissions.

I've tried this in Safe Mode as well. I'm really stuck, I can't think of
what else to try.

HELP ME PLEASE!

Can you apply the W5 rule(what ,where, why, which, who) and post them in detail. You might just get an answer to you issue.

Thats what i did to start with. but when i went to re-install it hanged at
the 'cover designer' Searching the registry for 'nero' found the two
offrnding keys that i can't remove.

I hope i don't have to re-install the operating system :-(

You aren't running some registry protect software like Adaware or Spybot
provides? Otherwise contact Nero as to resolution.

How are you searching for reg entries keys?
I think some keys are linked to others. maybe need to find all related keys.
Use find, then "nero" (no quotes), press F3 for additional keys.

Have to tried to use registry fix software? Some people are skeptical of
these, though.
