I've been playing around and added a .pst folder to my outlook account. I
deleted the folder from my hard drive but I can't remove the folder from my
outlook folder list. I remember doing it before from exchange settings in
outlook but can't remember how to and it's driving me nuts!
All help appreciated.

Thus corrupting your mail profile. Why would you do that? If you added the
file in Outlook, wouldn't it have made sense to remove it in Outlook again
first, before deleting it from disk?
but I can't remove
the folder from my outlook folder list.

With Outlook 2002/2003, if File>Data File Management doesn't allow you to
delete it, you'll have to use Control Panel's Mail applet to create a new
mail profile.
