Removing programs

I was removing some programs on my laptop. I do not know
what program I should remove to allow a quicker
operation. But, when I shuted down the laptop, and I
started again, every was so big, the icons, the taskbars,
etc. I restored the programs that I removed, I chose
small icons and normal font size, but they didn't work.
Any suggestion?

I'm not sure what was deleted, but try this:

Right click on the Desktop, select properties and then the Settings tab. Click on the Advanced tab and then in the drop down menu change the setting to 'Normal Size(96 DPI)'.
