Removing Printer Driver from XP

We all can delete a printer from the desktop, but how
does one cleanup and remove all of the files installed on
the pc and fix up thr registry?

I have an XP PC that will have the OLD" driver reappear
on the desktop for some reason.

Any ideas?

Remove the printer by navigating to Control Panel Printers and faxes
High;light the printer Clock on Remove printer (upper left window).

If you are a user on the machine that does not have administrator rights or
that particular right, you might have to log off and log on again as
administrator or, if a network environment, request that the administrator
assign you the rights.

Have you tried to download a cleaner from the printer
manufacturer, this normally cleans the registry too.
