Removing popup menu commands

P

Peter Aitken

Some apps insert commands on context menus. For example Paint SHop Pro
inserted a "Browse with Paint Shop Pro" command on the menu that appears
when you right-click a folder in Explorer. I want to get rid of some of
these commands. How do I go about it?

The easiest way is to use the free ShellExView program. Get it here:

Hi Peter,

You should be able to remove the entry using Folder Options (File types
tab). If not, you may need to edit the registry. Visit these links for more
information.

Remove Browse With Paint Shop Pro 7 from the context menu:
http://www.tacktech.com/display.cfm?ttid=211

Manage the context-menu entries for files, folders, drives and Namespace
objects:
