Removing old programs

I have several old programs installed on Windows XP and
can't remove them using the add/remove installed programs
because it will ask for the disk and I don't have it.
Can they be removed any other way?
 
Some applications need the disk to uninstall.
Check the application manufacturers website or check a form for users
of that application.
