Removing Network Card / Driver

Daniel Smith

I have a windows 2000 server as my domain controller
running AD. I moved it all to a new machine as the old
motherboard and network card failed. I have setup the
neww network card but when i go to setup its ip address
and dns it says there is a legacy network adaptor that has
been removed with the same settings. It warns me that if
the other network adaptor starts working then there will
be an IP conflict. How can i remove this legacy network
card from the system as it is not in device manager
anymore cause ive removed the card.

Thanks,

Daniel

Why bother? Windows gives you the option of selecting
the address used by the legacy adapter - use it!
