removing folders

I went to the following url "How to take ownership of a file or folder in
Windows XP"
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;308421&Product=winxp.
Unfortunately, that did not work for me. I am signed as administrator. I
right click the folder, but I do not see any prompts to take ownership.
I have actually a few folders that are the problem. A couple were saved
without a name. some were saved with"," as the name. Others have proper names.
How do I get rid of these things?

XP Home? Start in Safe Mode and login to the machine's built-in
Administrator account (which has no password.) Now you'll see the
security tab.

Restart your computer and tap the F8 key frequently. This will bring you
to the startup options menu.
