Ron

I have a couple of questions regarding an Windows XP
networked environment which has 3 PC's all networked
together.

1. If I want to remove one of the PC's from the network,
do I just shutdown the PC and remove it, or is there some
task I must perform before I shut the system down and
remove it?

2. If I want to remove one of the PC's from the network
and replace it with a new and improved PC, do I just
remove the old PC and configure the new PC with the same
computer name? Do I also have to run the Network wizard
on the new PC even though I am replacing the system with
the same network computer name?

Thanks in advance.

Ron

assuming this is workgroup, you don't use ICS on the removed pc and not
reconnection mapping, you can just shutdown it.
