I installed Windows XP for Home Upgrade on a machine with Windows ME. I did not want XP installed on the C Drive so I installed to the D drive. I wound up with a dual boot machine

I just want to delete Windows ME, easily done but how do I alter the startup screen so it no longer appears as an option? In the old days would just edit the boot.ini file but I can't seem to find one now.

After you delete ME and its related programs under Programs and
Documents&Settings
reboot and enter XP
start/run
msconfig................hit the boot.ini tab and "check all boot paths"
Boot.ini is a hidden file but it can be opened with Notepad and edited
