Removing an OLE

I have several OLE's which were originally imported as .tiff format files
from Finale in a paper. How can I remove them. When I right-click they
appear to be pictures. I cannot highlight them and cut does not work either.

Should be just a matter of: Click the picture, press the Delete key... are
you saying that doesn't work?

It's also possible that the pictures have been formatted with Behind Text
text wrapping. Try using the Select Objects tool (white arrow button) on the
Drawing toolbar to select then delete the pictures.

They could also be placed in the Header/Footer layer so try View> Header and
Footer to get to them.

If neither of the above help, provide additional detail - including Word
version.

Am not familiar with Finale or how it does what it does so I can't offer
anything there.

Try displaying the Drawing toolbar, clicking the Select Objects tool (the
white arrow pointing northwest), and then selecting the picture. Select by
clicking on the picture, or by dragging a box around the picture.

This will work if the picture was put behind the text.

Thank you. I finally got rid of the problem. I was in track change mode and
the OLE would not disappear until I went to a different view
