Removing a tool bar? Why doesn't anyone respond?

I recently update 6.0 and now have an Intelligent Explorer
web search toolbar. I unchecked the tool bar but it keeps
coming back and back and back. This is totally annoying.
I never had this many problems with Netscape. Can I get
any assistance or should I just go back to using netscape.
