Joe,

Try scanning with AntiSpyware from within all of the created User
profiles on the system. Reboot to Safe Mode and scan again from within
those profiles.

If it detects a registry key that can not be removed make a note of the
*exact* key, then open the registy editor and locate the *exact* key.
Right click it, choose Permissions and make sure that Full Control and
Special Permissions are checked. Click OK. Close the registry editor and
do another scan. If the *exact* reg key is not deleted, open the
registry and delete the *exact* key.

NOTE: Incorrectly editing the registry can render the system unusable.
Delete ONLY the *exact* key that MSAS detects as being from Altnet.

.
I have been dealing with this for months, it is in
Registry Keys, but you cannot remove it from there either.
I posted a note about this but have yet to see any
replies. Spybot also finds it along with SpySubtract and
various many other sources I have used, no removal to
date. I keep checking the forum groups under my
Antivirus program, but to date have still not found
anything that will remove this. If you locate any good
information, please post it in your message here, I am
going to keep checking for a reply from somone. I also
was able to send one spyware report and have since been
unable to connect on this program, sends an error message
saying check my internet proxy settings which I don't
use.
