Spyware not being deleted

I have spyware being detected by the name of "Altnet
(Browser Plug-In)" shows to be in
location "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ALTNET". I selected
to remove this spyware and it says it did, but if I run
antispyware again, it finds the spyware again. Not sure
why it is not deleting.

I get a message eveytime I try to delete this spyware
that says "Internet Explorer is currently running, would
you like to close Internet Explorer now?" I have no
instances of IE open, but I go ahead and select "YES" and
it appears to be deleting the spyware, but I run again
and it is there again.

What can I do?

Have you tried scanning in safemode?

I had the same problem,
I was so frustrated that I pulled out my shot gun and
blasted the damn thing. And it work! got rid of the damn
problem.

That hasn't been my experience with this method. I'll admit to not having
tried it first hand, but whenever I read about someone using this method to
solve a problem, there seems to be a large mess to clean up--often worse
than the original problem they were trying to solve.
