Remove XP Home from C, move XP Pro from E

Hi all,

Not a big problem, but a thorn in my side.

I have a computer with three partitions - C, E and F. Came with XP
Home on C.

Tried to replace XP Home with XP Pro but somehow "everything went black
and when I woke up I found that" Pro got installed on E:, Home remaines
on C:, and I got myself a crying, talking, sleeping, walking living
dual-boot computer.

Any ideas on how I can conert that to the single boot computer I
wanted, with the Pro on C:, with the Home gone, and with drive E: free
for my evil desires?

Invested quite a lot of effort installing and configuring the Pro so
"format everything and start afresh" is not a great solution. Also, can
not justify spending lots of money on a solution as this is really a
nuisance, not a real business problem.

Not possible to move XP from E to C, you will need to reinstall to that
partition and remove the old installation.

Thanks Dave,

Can I ghost E: into C: (i.e. backup an image of E and then restore that
image into C: and format E:?

No. All of the pointers in the registry will still be pointing to E, you
need a fresh install.
