remove windows xp

Hi all
My PC is operating with windows xp pro. And now I want to change to window 2000 server. When I install win2k server with CDrom, I meet a problem that can't install. How can I remove and install the new OS

All you have to do is boot the system with the Windows 2000 Server CD and
select the option to format the system partition.
