remove upgrade

i have upgraded my xp from a short while but would like to undo (if i can put
it that way) the upgrade i have made and return the xp to its pre-upgrade
state
so, have you any suggestions.

What problem(s) are you having with XP that you to revert to a previous
version of Windows? What was installed before XP? Have a look in
Add/Remove for an option to uninstall XP?
