Remove Hotmail account

I have created a new Hotmail account. Does anyone know how to delete my old
Hotmail account?

Greetings,

You can't actually remove Hotmail accounts, they just automatically close themselves after 30
days of inactivity. The actual Passport's themselves are *never* removed however.

If you don't use a particular Hotmail account for a

specified number of days (I think it's 30 days), it will
automatically close and you won't be able to access it.

Hi,

That's not exactly true -- the account is still fully accessible and can be "reactivated" at
any time. Of course, any mail stored will be gone.
