Remove folder for deleted Hotmail account from Outlook 2003

I am unable to delete or right click and close a
duplicate personal folder for Hotmail. When I click the
duplicate, a popup states "the set of folders couldn't be
opened". Scanpst was also unable to solve my problem. I
tried to use the Delete Email Accounts feature in Tools,
however the folder and popup error remain. HELP??

Create a new profile (do not copy it);
Control Panel-> Mail-> button Show Profiles

To access your current pst-file in the new profile;
File-> Open-> Outlook Data File...

To set it as the default delivery location;
Tools-> E-mail Accounts...-> button Next-> use the dropdownlist below
