remove default emoticons (or at least the shortcut)

Hi all, I apologie for posting this issue in a not proper newsgroup but I
guess it wouldnt' have the same visibility in the windows live messenger
newsgroup.
My issue is about windows live messenger (latest version).
I want challenge you in finding a way to remove the default emoticons.
Infact I wish to use the classic shortcut I am accustomed to use in all
forum or chat, for example or , with MY personal emoticon; any idea?

You were right in your first post. This should go to the Live messenger
newsgroup. Btw, "UP" doesn't do anything.
