remove cached exchange addresses

A client of ours decide to move from exchange to pop with a new server.
The problem is that when users start to put in the address for someone
in their domain they just click on the name that comes up in the auto
complete and it doesn't send because it is cached from when they used
exchange. Is there a way to get rid of this cache without disabling
the "Suggest names while completing To, Cc, and Bcc fields" option.

If you click properties of the address cached from exchange it says
"the name or distribution list has been deleted and is no longer a
valid address book entry".

I have updated their contacts so that it has their co-workers
addresses. I just an annoyance more than anything.

It's outlook 2003 btw.

You have a couple of choices. One is to delete the individual
autocompletion entries by using the arrow keys to select the one you don't
want and then pressing Delete. The other is, with Outlook closed, to delete
the NK2 file from %AppData%\Microsoft\Outlook, which will clear the entire
cache. The option you mentioned will still be enabled, but the cache will
need to be repopulated, which will happen as the person sends messages.
