remove an orphan domain controller (not demoted)

Hi,

I have an old domain controller that I need to format and where the
demotion was not working.

I have some warning in the event viewer that signals that the server
was unavailable for replication.

I can't remove the domain controller from active directory.

How can I clean AD from any reference to the nonexistent server?
