removal of unwanted program

hi,
I have recently experienced problems when shutting down my pc. I am using XP
Home. On shutdown I receive a message that a program is not responding which
causes long delays in the shutdown process.
I have tried to remove the program using add/remove programs but it is not
listed.
I have tried to delete the program but I am prevented because it is still
running.
To be honest I don't know whether I should be trying to remove it because I
don't know what it is exactly or what it does.
Details of the program are as follows:

name - watch dog v2.3.5.0
company - Common Group
location - c:\windows\twain_32\S6U12BX
internal name - Nora
original file name - WATCH.EXE
product name - Watch Dog
created - 25/3/2006

could anyone please advise me on what it is, whether it is essential & if I
should remove it, how I go about it. If I need it, how can I stop the message
when shutdown my PC ?
thanks
Colin

Hi, I dont know what is the program and what it does but following
instructions help you to get rid of It.
1 - Using the windows task manager, terminate all the processes related
to this program such as
" WATCH.EXE" .
2 - rename the executables .
3 - Restart windows

The next time it will disappear.

If you decided to remove the program permanently,
1- delete the directory containing "WATCH.EXE"
2- Start -> Run -> MSConfig then goto startup tab
3- find entries containing this program name and delete the related
values from registry or
startup menu folder.
4- exit the msconfig program by clicking on "cancel" please do not
click "OK".

BEST OF LUCK
