removal of unwanted software

Using XP Pro......I want to uninstall a printer driver and all it's related
files completely. It interferes with faxes now. There is no 'uninstall' option
in the add/remove software panel
anymore for some reason.

Is there a tracking program that sniffs out *every* file a program uses or
accesses on my system? I can handle the registry edits and want to remove the
rest of the printer driver files manually. I cannot fax until this printer
driver is completely gone. (this problem popped up after a repair installation,
and the old printer has since gone by the wayside).

You can try CleanSweep (part of norton Systemworks). it might be what you
are looking for. I think they have a trial version (it might be in Norton
Utilities as well) at www.symantec.com.
