Remotely connecting to a computer

Hi,

I'm trying to remotely manage a computer through the Internet.
The PC is running Windows XP with no firewall or router (direct connection
to the internet). I'm trying to install a service remotely on the machine so
I can control it, but although I have the administrator user account I still
get access denied when trying to connect to the machine (even when using the
"net use" command).
Any idea on why this is happening ?
