Remote Desktop Web Connection Failure

Server runs Windows XP MCE with Internet Explorer 7, Defender and LiveOne
Care and is connected to a Belkin broadband modem/router. Other computers
on internal network can connect either using Remote Desktop directly or with
local IP address entered in Explorer, which pulls up Remote Desktop Web
Connection screen.

However, computers on Internet cannot get through. Default web page is set
in Internet Information Services to external IP address and TCP port is set
to, say, 1234. LiveOne Care Firewall ports have been set to allow ports
3389 and 1234. Advanced settings have been set to allow 'all computers (even
those on the Internet)' access. Router permissions have been configured to
allow the same ports. Windows Firewall is greyed out because LiveOne Care
has taken over.

Any attempt to connect causes the router ligts to flash, but the remote
computer gets a 'page cannot be displayed' error. Address entered is
http://external IP:1234/tsweb. IP is dynamic, but only alters when
modem/router is disconnected.

Would appreciate any help anyone can give.

If you can access it using tsweb internal but internet, I would double check the router settings. Can you telnet port 1234?
