Remote Web Connection

I have a pc running winxp pro sp2 and a laptop connected to a netgear WGT624
router, and the router to a cable modem. I have no problem connecting
remotly from my laptop to my pc, but when I try connecting from an outside
computer to my home pc, I am not able to connect. I disable windows
firewall and mcafee firewall, and I opened port forwarding 3389 and 80. When
I try to log on from another computer to my home pc by opening internet
explorer and typing http://xx.xx.xx.xx/tsweb which is not my lan address, I
type my ip address and then connect, after a few seconds I get an error
"remote connection time out" What can I do to solve this problem?

Your Cable Company is blocking your abiltiy to do WEB Hosting in the cable
modem by blocking port 80. Most Cable companies charge extra for this
ability. You should call them to see what the damage will be.

I'm working on a the same issue on a ADSL line but I've opened up port 80 in
the router so my w2k server can be seen but it's still blocked someplace.
Everything on my LAN side works great. Just cannot see my web page from the
WAN side.

Godd Luck with Cable!
