I have been asked to provide a remote - offsite backup solution for one
of my customers. It seems simple enough, but what software packages are
people using to get this done? I see a few out there, does anyone have
any real experience with any of them ?

Depends on how much you want to spend. If you have the $$ look at Veritas.
It's the de facto standard, but you need to buy agents if your Veritas
install is on the remote box. There's an open file option as well.

Genie Backup software works well for single computers. It will back up
multiple machines over the network if the daya is shared.

If you have Server2003, good ole' NT Backup in combination with shadow copy
is extremely reliable and FREE! It lacks a nice front end where the average
site manager can click an icon and see the status of the last backup.

I found a solution

D-Link DSA 3100

D-Link DSA 5100

Both do exactly what I need them to

OOPS, I posted that last reply to the wrong message
