remote login

I have a salesman who wishes to login to our server remotely. Right now he
just syncronizes every time he is in the office. I am not sure on the best
way to do this as he wants to login from various locations depending on where
he is. Does anyone have any suggestions.

What operating system do you run on your server?

what about a vpn connection (ipsec) to the company? works well here.
