I accessed Remote Desktop on my Windows XP computer and
set it up as a short cut on my desktop. I sent it to my
recycle bin by mistake and it got deleted. This is where
it gets weird. I thought that it was just the shortcut
that got deleted but it was the remote desktop itself.
I tried reinstalling from my Windows XP CD but it says I
already have it built in to my operating system and gives
the location. Only problem is the location is missing.
Any ideas on reinstalling????

The icon is just for the connection. Go to Start | Programs |
Accessories | Communications | Remote Desktop Connection (depending on
your version of the software) and create and save a new connection. Save
the connection in My Documents and then create a shortcut on your
desktop to the connection.
