Remote Desktop through a router

Is there a semi-easy way to connect with Remote Desktop to a computer
sitting behind a router? I know the router's IP address, and I could set up
the machine to have a fixed IP address on the local network if necessary.

Configure the router to forward the port (3389 by default) to the proper
machine.
