Hi

I have a win XP pro box, upgraded (not clean install) from a window
2000 server. the XP is still not sp2 (will be in the next few day
once I have some time to backup before)
when trying to login from another computer (XP pro sp2) at home usin
remote desktop client I get the "Local policy does not permit..
which google actually "knows". Ok, now the solution everyone mention
is to set "Allow users to logon using terminal services"
I go to gpedit.msc on the other computer. indeed I have this entr
under admin templates->terminal services. enabled.
I turn to the upgraded computer. No such entry there. Actualy
compare entries and some of them match but some appear in one and no
in the other
I'll mention I'm no computer expert or admin wiz, just want to logo
to the other machine. So, how do I manually add an entry to th
template
I can't see how to do this with gpedit.msc
any ideas
I promiss to be forever greatful.
Bests

Hi,

The entry comes from the SP2 upgrade in many cases. Also, the account being
used for the Remote Desktop *must* be passworded. It will not work if it is
not.
