Remote Desktop Printing

I would like to print a file on my remote desktop computer on a printer that is connected to the computer I am connecting from. Is this possible?
 
Not only possible, the intent is that this is the default situation.

Please post a NEW message giving your situation if this doesn't work:

1) what OS are you connecting from
2) what OS are you connecting to
3) what printer make/model
4) how (what port--as listed in the printer properties) is this printer
connected to the client machine?
