Remote Desktop - No mouse/keyboard after login

Hello, I installed a brand new BEFSR41 v4.1 with f/w 1.04.06 (even newer
than what is posted on the Linksys website).

My problem is that with this router, I establish a VPN connection to my
workplace (using built-in WinXP VPN). Then I start Remote Desktop, get the
Login screen, and I can type my Login info and click OK, no problem. My
Desktop appears on the screen.

BUT, at this point, my mouse and keyboard do not work. I cannot click or
type on anything in Remote Desktop. Funny, because the VPN connection was
successfully established, and I could type into the Login screen.

I've googled around, and several other people have had this problem, but no
answers. BTW, I have had an old Linksys BEF11S4 v2, and it works fine.
(The reason I upgraded routers is because the BEF11S4 did not do UPNP with
some software.)

Thanks,
David

Make sure the new router has
IPSec Passthrough, PPTP Passthrough, & L2TP Passthrough Enabled.

Thanks Jeremy. I've enabled IPSec Passthrough and PPTP Passthrough. As
well, I've enabled PPPOE Passthrough. There is no setting for L2TP
Passthrough.

I've since removed the Linksys routers and am using the Belkin Pre-N router
to do UPnP. This seems to work much better. It fixes the Remote Desktop
problem, and the other peer-to-peer apps seems to also work. But I'm still
testing it.

BTW, has anyone noticed a quality decline in Linksys products since Cisco
bought them? I can't believe the BEFSR41 which is extremely popular still
has this kind of issue. I used to think you can't go wrong with Linksys,
but now I'm not so sure.
