Have you clicked on the display tab in the remote desktop client and changed
the colors there?

Hi,

Of course. I think I stated this in my question, but I realize I might
have been to subtle about it...

Thanks,

What version of the client are you using ? You may want to upgrade to the
newest and try that.

Hi,

I got a little problem using Remote Desktop between two WindowsXP
machines. The issue is that when I log on the other computer I cannot
start programs requiring over 256-colors (Steinberg products in this
case). If I try to do so it shows a warning. I searched the web and found
an article in Microsoft's knowlegdebase
( http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=278502 ) describing how to fix this
issue, but the thing is that it didn't help. I have set group policies to
24-bit color on both PC's and yet it doesnt work. Of course I am trying to
connect with more than 256 colors.
Any help appreciated.

SveinT
