Remote Desktop Connection & Mapping

Eric

I'm having great difficulty in getting RDC and mappings
to work.

I've got 3 computers, one of them is the internet gateway
(the host) (which has internet connection sharing enabled
and has Internet Connection Firewall enabled).

I've recently played around with the security permissions
on all three computers so that they are all the same. Now
they all have Administrators (full control), Creator
Owner (full control), Everyone (read, write, execute),
and System (full control). All 3 computers now have
identical permissions. I don't know why they never had
the same before.

The other 2 computer which connect to the internet
gateway, does not have ICF enabled.

I have two issues:
1. I cannot map the 2 computers to the shares of the host
computer (internet gateway). But the host can map all
shared resources belonging to the other 2 computers.
2. I cannot seem to successfully connect via Remote
Desktop Connection to any of the computers. I can go so
far as connect to any of the computers but to a black-
coloured screen with a dialogbox asking for a username
and password. I type in a username that I know exists on
the computer I'm trying connecting to, but does not work.
This is the error msg I get: "Unable to log you on
because of an account restriction". I already have the
Remote Desktop Connection enabled through
MyComputer/SystemProperties/Remote.

Your assitance with the two issues will be greatly
appreciated.

Eric

Problem 1: What is your errror message?

Problem 2: Unless the account is an administrator account, you need to have
the right to log on through Remote Desktop. Use the select remote users
buttont to add the account.
