Remote Desktop Connection, how to set it up

hi guys..

i am running windows media centre 2005 on my home PC, which is based on XP
Pro i believe

i would like some advise on settings up my home pc so that i may access the
pc and gain control remotly over a web connection..

i am new to the whole "remote dekstop" but the only to learn is practice..
any suggestions would be great
